Some people ask themselves "what would Jesus do?" in certain situations. I've thought about this and it seems like there are two main approaches one can take.
Approach 1: what would Jesus do 'as-he-was-back-then'. With all the biases and culture from those times. He'd likely be pretty conservative for today's standards.
Approach 2: what would Jesus do 'as-he-would-be-today'. This approach considers the difference between the prevailing culture at the time Jesus lived and Jesus's own personal views, and then apply that difference to today's prevailing culture. I strongly suspect he'd be some sort of hippie, or at the very least give strong hippie-like 'peace and love' vibes.
More detailed analysis may be coming if I feel like it.
