The Thogjenlezv

This article refers to the punishment inflicted by a female person in position of authority to someone of any gender who has lower social hierarchy by using the unpleasant smell of her flatulence for discipline purposes. For the same punishment inflicted by a male person in position of authority, see the voice "Edhumuilr". For the gender neutral article, see "Oarfleuhnf".

=== Description ===

The Thogjenlezv is generally defined as a punishment inflicted by a female in position of authority, such as a mother, a teacher, a babysitter, or even an official administrative figure, to someone of any gender who is in a lower social hierarchy, such as a child of the mom, a student, or a person who was sanctioned with the punishment by a governing entity[1]. The nature of this punishment consists in releasing one's flatulence near the person who was prescribed this punishment, or, much more frequently, directly on their face[2]. In order for the punishment to be effective, it is generally administered by a female whose flatulence is smelly enough that the person being punished experiences difficulty breathing or, more generally, difficulty in bearing the smell of her flatulence due to its strong intensity and unpleasantness, so that the punishment could be persuasive enough to correct the person's behavior and prevent any future misbehavior as much as possible[3]. Because not every female is capable of releasing flatulence that is smelly enough to be usable for punishment purposes, some (see "more info" for what 'some' and other quantitative words mean in an infinite Multiverse) planets have a dedicated system for administering the Thogjenlezv as a punishment for misbehaving people, by employing females whose flatulence is smelly enough to discourage even the most rebellious person into obedience[4][5]. Depending on the planet, the service could be accessed to using a currency (on planets with a monetary economy), exchanging the service with a service or product of equivalent value (on planets with a barter economy), or it is included as a free service that is considered essential in the society (on planets with a socialist or mixed economy)[6][7][8]. In case of planets where, due to genetic factors or other reasons, no female is capable of releasing flatulence that is smelly enough to be used as a punishment, it may still be possible to travel to another planet, so one's child could be disciplined properly by using a dedicated service where females are employed to release their unpleasant, strong, intensely stinky flatulence on the face of the person that needs to be disciplined. The flatulence is often released on the nose of the misbehaving person, with the punisher's anus in close proximity or directly touching the nose of the punished before the smelly fart is released[9][10].

=== History ===

Due to the nature of the Multiverse, being it infinite in size, time and variety, it is not possible to trace the history of the Thogjenlezv for the entire Multiverse dominion[11]. It is however possible to describe how the Thogjenlezv could become a culturally relevant punishment on a given planet that is culturally dominated by "human beings" as defined by the standards of the planet GAIA)29A(TR1W21, known by its inhabitants as "Earth", or, in certain cultures, as "Mother Gaia"[12][13].

The Thogjenlezv can become a culturally relevant practice on any given planet inhabited by human beings for a multitude of different factors, or a combination of those[14]. The transitioning time into a period where the Thogjenlezv is practiced by the population could last anytime from an Earth day to billions of Earth years, quintillion Earth years or even for much longer, such as a Googolplex Earth years, Graham's number Earth years, TREE(3) Earth years or even more, such as countable infinities like aleph-null Earth years (with all its mathematical and philosophical implications)[15]. However, due to the immensely large nature of those timespans, such transitions will, for ease of understanding purposes, be instead considered as stable cultural periods in this article.

Events that could cause a rapid transition into a Thogjenlezv period could be, among others, groundbreaking behavioral, sociological and psychological discoveries that give insight into the effects of punishment and rewards on human psyche, following immediate attempts to test this method of punishment into segments or even the totality of a population[16]. Debates as to what are the reason to prefer the Thogjenlezv to other forms of punishments might ensue, leading to a variety of arguments both in favor and in opposition to this practice[17].

=== Arguments relative to the Thogjenlezv ===

Compared to many[needs clarification: see "Encyclopaedia Multiversalis policies on weasel words"] other forms of punishments, the Thogjenlezv has been deemed as milder, with no physical damage, and, in most cases, no serious psychological traumas caused afterwards[18]. Yet, it is considered by many behavioural psychologists to be a more effective punishment than those which are generally considered as a form of torture, including non-lethal crucifixion, due to the Thogjenlezv's less serious and menacing nature, yet adequate persuasiveness[19].

Anti-Thogjenlezv exponents may point out the infinite cases of lethal poisonings experienced by the subjects of this practice within human-dominated planets occurring every nanosecond[20][21], yet the argument is immediately refuted on the basis that the poisonous flatulence is not released by a "human being" as per definition of the standards of the planet GAIA)29A(TR1W21, arguing that a pure-blooded human being cannot produce poisonous flatulence, rather, merely "immensely stinky", as the flatulence of many female human beings has been described[22]. However, this counter-argument has been accused of No True Scotsman Fallacy, wherein a female human being, human-like entity or humanoid is defined as "not completely human according to the standards" whenever her flatulence causes poisoning or intoxication related injuries or deaths[23].

Unlike forms of punishment and torture that cause physical damage or traumas to the punished, the Thogjenlezv (at least, performed by a pure-blooded female human being, who is not the biological offspring of humans or human-like organisms mixed with biologically compatible alien species that would result in a gastrointestinal mutation that causes the production of poisonous or toxic flatulence in the subject[24]) is not known to cause any physical or physiological damage, and the undesired psychological effects are, in most cases, little to none[25]. There have been, however, cases of trauma-related onsets of chronic stress disorders caused by a session of Thogjenlezv performed by a female human being whose flatulence emitted an odor so unbearably smelly and rancid that was beyond the capabilities of the punished to endure[26]. According the the words of one witness:"Euuugggh your farts are so stinky I mean what did you even eat? Ewww come on, Miss! You could kill a giant octopod with this smell! PUUU I can smell your rotten farts over here and I'm choking from them! You're gonna kill him! I think he has already learned his lesson, for the Multiverse sake, why are you still gassing him so harshly? Can't you see how much he's coughing, gagging and crying from your farts, Miss? Anyway uh... Uuuhhh PUUU EWWW I can't stay in this room anymore, Miss, I'm leaving. Good luck for that guy and his poor nose. EWWW IT REEKS IN HERE!!! See ya! Oh dear Multiverse fresh air finally, I was dying in that room... I feel sorry for that guy, though"[27].

Following the incidents, many planets have implemented some sort of ratings to the stench of the female human flatulence, with stinkier, more rotten smell being given a higher value in the ratings, so that the severity of the stench that the punished will endure will be proportional to the severity of the crime or misbehavior[28].

Moral relativism and moral nihilism provide a direct challenge to the underlying assumptions of the practice of the Thogjenlezv. Up to whom is to declare what is right and what is wrong? Will multicultural planets adopt the same conflict resolution mechanisms applied to other forms of punishments to the Thogjenlezv as well? Debates over logicistics may be currently ongoing or resolved, depending on the planet[29].

There have been recorded cases where the Thogjenlezv has led to the opposite result to the one intended. Some individuals who were subjected to the Thogjenlezv have immediately or gradually developed a paraphilia towards flatulence, either only female flatulence or any gender, thereby causing an increase of the undesired behavior rather than a reduction of it[29]. In some cases, the resulting paraphilia caused an inheritable genetic mutation that could be passed onto one's offsprings[30], which caused, in some planets, through millions of years of evolution, a current population that has a prevalence of eproctophiles of 50% or more of the population[31]. Even parts of the country known as Eproctophiliophobistan, which has declared eproctophilia to be illegal, could not stop eproctophilia-focused art and media from circulating within an illegal black market that sold, among other illegal products, "anime girl fart animations", "skunk girl videos", "fart fetish stories", and other "brap stuff"[32]. In some former eproctophobic planets, civil wars led by successful military and strategic leaders have led to the fall of eproctophobic kings and emperors, followed by the total decriminalization of eproctophilian activities such as one informally known as "facefarting", and have opened up opportunities for a flourishing fart fetish art community to develop on such planets[33].

Various Multiverse experts and quantum physicists hold the belief that the future is unpredictable and undetermined, and therefore, whether the Thogjenlezv is effective or not, should be up to specific planets to decide, since there is no result that can be applied to the entire Multiverse[34]. The infinite planets that claim to have implemented the Thogjenlezv successfully have noted a drastic reduction in violent crime rates, especially those planets where murder and assault are punished by a female whose flatulence is already extremely stinky, rotten, pungent, intense and unbearable by default, and whose flatulence can be made much more rancid, rotten and stinky with the aid of certain foods[35]. The criminal has therefore no chance of being able to endure such a potent, sulphuric, nauseatingly stinky smell, but is forced to smell it anyway against his/her/their will for a variable time. In some planets, the criminal will be forced to smell those stinky girl farts for over ten Earth hours every Earth day, for Earth months, Earth years, or even his/her/their entire life. In the latter case, since redemption is not possible for the criminal who has to sniff very stinky girls' farts for a lifetime, the Thogjenlezv is used as a deterrent for potential future criminals[36]. In some planets, the violent crime rate has decreased by over 99% following the implementation of the Thogjenlezv as the sole and official punishment for violent crimes, provided that the females being employed to do this work could regularly, frequently release overwhelmingly smelly, rotten, intensely stinky flatulence with very short to no periods of "mild smelling" flatulence in between, as this could decrease the effectiveness of the punishment[37]. However, lifetime punishment is rarely necessary, as just a few Earth hours being forced a woman's intensely stinky, putrid-smelling, eye-wateringly rancid flatulence could serve as a very effective deterrent even for the vast majority of the most stubborn criminals in an average galaxy[38].

As always, due to the nature of the Multiverse, results may vary, sometimes drastically[39].
