Max wanted to buy a new videogames, Dave & Drinker 4. It's basically a game where people use alcohol to fight enemies, and the main character is Dave, an alcoholic who embraced his addiction. He went to the videogames store and bought it.
(I'm so excited!), he thought.
He met Clara, his best friend, on the streets.
"I bought Dave & Drinker 4!", said Max, happily.
"Great! I hope you'll have fun playing it!", said Clara, smiling.
"I sure will! Now I have to go, I'm so excited to play it, see you tomorow!", said Max.
"Bye!", said Clara.
Max turned his BeerStation on and started playing Dave & Drinker 4. What he didn't know, though, was that the copy was hacked.
The beginning of the game was normal, Dave was trying to find a solution for the monsters who were attacking the town. He announced that he would fight them.
"You are crazy, Dave! They are too strong for you!", said a sword-fighter.
"No way! Not even vodka is too strong for me!", replied Dave.
Dave began fighting Winette, a girl who spits wine from her nose.
Suddenly, the music of the game became creepy and the quality of the colors turned into 8-bit.
(I don't remember the game being like this), thought Max.
The game speed became slower and laggier, and Winette attacked. Dave attacked back with his RUMour attack, but strangely, it missed. Winette attacked again by shooting grapefruit ad Dave, who was killed instantly.
Game Over.
Strangely, Max couldn't restart the game, the "Game Over" text remained on the screen along with a creepy and laggy music.
(How can I restart the game?), thought Max.
Max pressed every button of his DrunkStick, but nothing happened. Suddenly, Max heard a scream in the game. It was a slow scream of an old woman, and the "Game Over" text becoming more red and pixelated.
(What is happening? The game cannot be like that! I watched the videos on the Internet!), thought Max.
The BeerStation turned itself off, but the screen was blue instead black.
(I'll never play thi game again!), thought Max.
The next day, Max went to Clara's house.
"I think I've been pranked, I mean, the game was so creepy, I don't think it was the real game", said Max.
"Maybe it was an error, it can happen, tell that to the customers", replied Clara.
"I will, can you come with me?", asked Max.
"Sure!", said Clara.
Max and Clara went to the game store, but it was closed and everything was dark, the lights were turned off long before they arrived.
"Look, there's a new game of Girly Makeup, I want to play that", said Clara
"It looks so boring", "No way, there are more than 100 shades you can use", "Anyway, we should go away from here, I'm hearing some scary noises", "You're scared?", "No, but it's better not to stay here", "I want to explore this store", "Okaaay..."
Max and Clara went upstairs, but at every step they took, they heard some noises, similar to a dog breathing.
"Did you hear it?", asked Max.
"Hear what?", asked Clara.
"The noise", said Max.
"It's probably the wind, let's go", said Clara.
They saw someone standing in the dark hallway.
"Good morning", said that black figure.
"Hi! My friend has bought a game, but we think it's not the original game, well, it's creepy", said Clara.
"Clara, what are you doing?", asked Max.
"I'm explaining it", said Clara. "Why is everything do dark here?"
"You should embrace darkness", said that figure.
"Okay", said Clara, smiling.
"Do you want to know the truth?", he asked.
"The truth about what?", asked Clara.
"We hacked Dave & Drinker 4, that's probably the game your friend bought"
"But why?", asked Max.
"You see, Dave & Drinker is not a series for kids, so I thought we should change it"
"But... the beginning of the game was identical!", said Max.
"I know. But there are some scenes after that, they are too scary for many people"
"But... I wanted to play Dave & Drinker 4! It's my favourite game!"
That figure suddenly disappeared.
"Did you see that?", asked Max.
"See what?", asked Clara.
"He disappeared!", said Max.
"No, he just walked away", said Clara.
They returned home. Max was shocked at this experience.
"Clara, I think my copy of Dave & Drinker 4 is possessed, I want to get rid of it", said Max.
"Don't worry, I'll take it for you!", said Clara.
"What if my BeerStation is also possessed for playing that game?"
"I'll take it for you"
"Thank you!"
Clara took his BeerStation and played Girly Makeup, she was having so much fun, and Max was not worried about that creepy game anymore. Everything was going well, and they were both happy.
"That game is so boring! Haha", said Max.
"Not true, you can change this girl's face how you want! It's so creative!"
"Doesn't matter. Even though I couldn't play Dave & Drinker 4, the first 4 games were awesome and I had so much fun! Especially when fighting the final boss Ethane! He was so damn hard, especially on Dave & Drinker 3... I wonder how hard he is to beat in Dave & Drinker 4, but I suppose we'll never know"
"Don't worry, there are plenty of other games we can play, for example look at this, you might like it... Dusaku Dog RPG... wanna try it?"
"Already played it! It doesn't matter, I prefer staying with you, rather than be alone and playing these games. Being with you is fun!"
